From Ur to Haran

Terah takes Abram, Sarai and Lot out of Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. They reach Haran, stop there and settle.

Abram leaves Ur with his father Terah's household, bound for Canaan, but they stop at Haran. From there he sets out again, passing through Shechem and Bethel, going down to Egypt during a famine and returning. After parting from his nephew Lot, he settles near Hebron.
